He used 10 meters tall cloth sails for his wind turbine. And this turbine used wind power to charge accumulators and provide electricity for his little hut. After a while, Blyth both able to power his own home and share this energy with his neighbours. Thanks to James Blyth’s invention, from the United States to Denmark, wind turbines were being used to generate electricity all over the world. In the 20th century, its use became more frequent and even started to compete with conventional energies like coal or oil.

These numbers indicate that, in the future, electricity costs will reduce.
